Pre-empting lose skin on the stomach after weightloss

No body shaming here but i was wondering if there is a way to know if when you lose weight whether you will be left with baggy skin around your stomach? My heaviest i was 210lbs (15st for my Brits out there!) and i have a tummy that creases and hangs a bit. Whilst getting slimmer and healthier is the main goal i would like to be prepared for my body perhaps changing in ways i hadn't orginally thought about.

Any thoughts appreciated!

No way of knowing .. it's down to luck and genetics and giving adequate time for the skin to spring back as much as it's going

laying down some muscle and taking your weight loss slow can't hurt

You might be lucky and have minimum issues .. I was (.. but it's not by skill or anything I did, just genetic lottery

I knew that would be the answer! Well worst case scenario is i tuck it into my knickers and enjoy knowing most people won't notice

If it helps, I'm 20 years older than you, started around the same weight (212lbs) and dropped 50 lbs ... I've been fine (tiny bit of crepey skin around my naval but I've had 2 pregnancies) you may be too

Fingers crossed, i know at a size 12 ten years ago the belly hang isn't there so we shall wait and see.

The slower you loose weight, the better it is to avoid cliffhangers.

Dramatic weight loss leads to saggy skin from my experience over the years and the older you are the worse it gets.

At the moment im 28 and was losing (had a few months break) around 1 - 2lbs a week. After losing 14lbs i am yet ot see much difference so perhaps that is a good indicator that my body isn't going through a drastic change

I'm generously applying Bio Oil every night and rubbing it in well, in an attempt to pre-empt saggy skin.
My sister told me that stretched skin firms up to some extent in time. I'm not sure if this is generally true or just her own experience. She was talking about stretched skin from pregnancy.
