How do I know how much exercise to do each day?

not sure how much exercise I should do each day.

Weight loss is due to a calorie deficit.
Exercise is for health.
It's suggested for a healthy heart to do about 30minutes of moderate activity 5x week.
Strength training for muscle and bone health.
If you exercise, you need to eat back those calories.
Especially since you think 1500 is too high for some reason.

Exercise as much as you feel like doing if for weight loss, or follow a plan to meet a specific fitness goal.0

Suggestions on exercise.
Do what u can handle w a little push. Don't hurt yourself. Start small and work your way up. Don't do the same things all the time. You and your body will get bored. Find some things you enjoy. Mfp tends to over calculate calories burned. Invest in a heart rate monitor w a chest strap for accuracy. I got mine for less that 20 at walmart0 -
