Arm fat!

One of my biggest insecurities is my arms. I've lost a lot of weight and although they've gotten smaller they are still really big in my opinion. What is the easiest way to lose arm fat? What kind of exercises should I be doing?

Good advice on lifting heavy things and putting them down, but fairly vague. Should one lift box televisions or coffee tables, perhaps lifting car tires? Should one lift them with squats or dead lift them? Curls or presses?

You can’t spot reduce. Did you drop the weight quickly? In some cases, it takes the skin a while to adjust to the smaller you. In other cases, the skin doesn’t fully recover.

Begin lifting heavy weights, build some muscle mass on your body and the skin will adjust.

As to SuperTiredMom’s follow on question, when we say lift heavy, we typically mean find a program that incorporates compound movements such as StrongLifts or New Rules For Lifting For Women. The basic compound movements of squats, deadlifts, bench press, pull ups and overhead press will give you all you need as a beginner. There is very little need for isolation work until you’ve built a solid strength and mass base.

I love the way pilates has reshaped my whole body, in particular my arms. My triceps have never looked better! Blessings

    Yes :)

But more specifically: Eat at a defecit and follow a programme like stronglifts 5x5, ice cream fitness, strong curves, NROLFW etc
