I am in my 30's and have been overweight since early college. I have gotten healthy one time. When I lose weight and people comment on it and guys are attracted to me I feel very uncomfortable and afraid. I then binge eat to gain the weight back. I was in an abusive situation when I was younger that only stopped after I gained weight. Is anyone else dealing with this. How do I lose weight and feel safe and comfortable? I need to lose 40 lbs to no longer be obese. I exercise for about 1 hour 3x weekly. I would love help

I think it would help to talk to somebody (professional) about it. Here in our province there's an intensive six month group therapy program that helps people recover from histories similar to yours. Perhaps there is something close to where you live.

So the answer is, get comfortable first, then lose weight. Power, girl!

This sounds like something you need to talk to a professional about. Find a therapist you're comfortable with?
