Adding friends

when adding friends do I have to go back to the add friends on the home screen or is there an easier way?

    Click on their profile and there should be an add friend button.

    I thought so but its not letting me click on a profile :( it just clicks. I have to go back to the home screen every time and it's hard to remember user names lol
