Hi!

I am working on building healthy habits, which (so far) help me a lot to lose weight (the final 6-8 kg, out of 25 kg total) and will hopefully get more healthy in general.

My method is simple; I create a list of habits that I want to build and every day I track whether I did it or not. The challenge is to create streaks. For most of my habits I allow myself a cheat day every week (if I take on I mark an asterisk after my streak). I distinguish obligatory habits, which I give priority (marked bold on the list) and bonus habits, which I can do if I have time. When I notice that I do a bonus habit every day without too much effort I make it obligatory.

Step 1: walk 30+ minutes every day (current streak: 8)
Step 2: do 30+ minutes of exercise (running/cycling/swimming/fitness) every day (current streak: 7)
Step 3: eat 2 pieces of fruit every day (current streak: 6)
Step 4: eat a salad every day (current streak: 6)
Step 5: don't smoke (current streak: 6) (no cheat days allowed)
Step 6: no fast food (current streak: 6)
Step 7: prepare/eat a healthy breakfast every day (current streak: 5)
Step 8: eat some nuts every day (current streak: 3)
Step 9: prepare/eat a healthy lunch every day (current streak: 3)
Step 10: do 5+ minutes of morning exercises every day (current streak: 0)
Step 11: sleep for 8+ hours (current streak: 0)
Step 12: meditate 5+ minutes every day (current streak: 0)
Step 13: eat some leafy green vegetables every day (current streak: 0)
Step 14: Eat a piece of dark chocolate every day
Step 15-100: ideas are welcome for more healthy habits!

You are welcome to join me if you like! Post your own list of habits, track them and I will support you!

Cheers,
Thunear
