chargeHR sync problem

Bought new fitbit chargeHR. I tried to sync it the message came up the my software is not up to date. Any how now it is stuck. Does not respond to anything. Whenever I try to charge it a line appears on the screen as if it is trying to sync but stuck half way. Tried to do the hard reset etc but doesn't work. Can anyone help please
