I have no motivation for exercise! I have the t25 program and did good last week, but then this week I've been busy and it just is not appealing. I try to go on an hour walk each day to do something but have such a hard time with focused exercise. I am not able to join a gym so home work out works best. I am at 1200 calories a day and that's the easy part. Any one else find it hard to get into the work out habit?

Just start with a walk every day to build a habit. The most important thing is your diet.

Give it a few weeks, and make yourself move even when you don't want to. I'm in my 3rd week of working out consistently and it's just now starting to feel like I want to work out more vs. forcing myself to work out. It just takes time.

I completely understand what you are going through I was never a fan of working out or sweating for that matter which is why I do it first thing in the morning I find when I am too delirious to talk myself out of it is the best time for me. Yes it stinks getting up earlier BUT the good news is that if I do it first thing in the morning I don't have the rest of the day to talk myself out of it! Some days I do great and even get in another workout in the evening other days I just get some cardio done in the morning and that's it but at least I did something. Now keeping within my calorie goal ugh that's a challenge. Good luck! You can do it!

Thanks :). Yes I feel I'm talking myself into it all day. Or if I don't complete it then it's all I can think about. I definitely know I feel better when I do it. I have a 6 week old who does not make it easy for me to do . Seems he knows the moment I start to wake up and starts crying

I tried numerous at home workouts and was bored to tears by them all. That's not to say they weren't hard; they were, but I could not tolerate hearing the same thing over and over.

Exercise does not have to be torture. It's possible you just haven't found something you really like yet. Once you do, it will be easier to get it done.

ETA: on 1200 calories a day I would absolutely work out to get more calories to eat. It's not enough for me, and probably not enough for you too.

This is how I see exercise. DO you shower everyday? DO you eat everyday? DO you exercise everyday? It just something that got to be done. Way too many pros to not do it.

I bundled my children in the stroller and took them out. They slept SOOO much better after 15 to 20 minutes in the fresh air and I felt better just getting out of the house for a quick walk. Obviously this doesn't work for temperatures below 20F. You can also look for Mommy and me exercises you can do with your baby. Not too many at 6 weeks but by 3 months there are tons of things you can do to help both of you get strong.

Great ideas thank you :)! I've been walking but when it's time to go back to work I won't have the time to do it as often. I'll just have to keep pressing play! It does take a while to make a habit. Just so hard when I've never been someone who liked working out!

Take classes at the gym. They are so much more fun than working out on your own.
