I've just purchased Zumba Fitness 2 for the wii and I am planning to do it for about 40/50 minutes everyday for a week straight, anyone have any weightloss stories from it, I could really use the motivation?

I've gone through several of the Zumba Fitness games for the Wii, including Zumba Fitness 2. I combined Zumba with a bunch of different workouts, but this, by far, is my favorite. Over the course of 2 years, I've lost 65 pounds and I would say that Zumba definitely helped me achieve that goal. I love that you can track your Zumba workouts, dance like crazy from the comfort of your own home, and make it as intense as you want it. The more intensity you put into doing Zumba, the more results you are going to see. I hope you enjoy it and good luck!
Remember that Zumba is cardio, but you should also consider watching what you feed your body as well as doing some weight training. The more muscle you have the more fat you can burn. Best of luck to you!!0 -
I have and use the first wii Zumba... and maaaaaan, when my 20 minutes are up, I am DYING! Sweat rolling off, hair a mess, looking like I was just in a fight or something (Ive never been in one, but if I ever had, I think thats what Id look like LoL!)
Anyway, cant say much about 2, but if its anything like the first one, its a really good workout I also do Pilates on YouTube (which also kicks my butt) as the strength portion before I move on the Zumba for my cardio. And I eat at a deficit.
So, I cant say yes, its due to Zumba I have lost weight, since I do a variety of things, but I *have* lost weight, and I do notice the more I do the Zumba, the easier it gets. Not easy...just easier..My flailing around to keep up is a bit more organized now and somewhat resembles dancing...somewhat LoL0 -
About 7 Years ago I was out dancing every Thurs, Fri and Sat night just about. Then I also would do zumba a few days through the week at least one. I stayed Fit for sure, If I would of ate right then...Man I would of had it made, Then I got into a relationship never changed my food habits less exercise, Gained weight and now after 3 half years decided to do something about it. Been eating right exercising and most of my cardio is zumba, So yes it helps and I hope to be where I was 7 years ago one these days. Shorts don't look right on me no more and I cant wear the cute sun dresses I use to be able to and I so miss that.0
