No Calories lost during strength exercises?

I'm sure someone may have asked this before, but I noticed that MFP doesn't count calories when I do strength exercises like squats even though I break a sweat and my HR is elevated. Is this normal? Why or why not?

put it in the cardiovascular section. it will give u a calorie count. ( i usually cut it in half since it seems quite high though)0

I do the same, I log it as strength training in cardio but cut the time in half. If you do high intensity interval lifting where you feel like your heart will burst out of your chest then you might not need to halve it.0
