Hello I'm trying to loose weight and am currently working with a personal trainer. After looking at my food journal she advised me to eat more veggies. Does anyone know of great ways to incorporate mote veggies into my meals. I already put them in eggs, I'd love to hear any recipes or tips!

Stir fry all day. Or just frozen vegetables in the microwave0

Just put them with every meal. You can also just eat them as a snack. Eat some baby carrots or sliced bell peppers with some ranch or hummus.
Whatever you make for dinner and lunch, if it doesn't already have vegetables incorporated into it (stir fry for example) then cook a veggie to eat on the side. I usually just steam up some broccoli in the microwave.0 -
I steam mine in the microwave. After steaming I melt a slice of cheese on top, or toss it with pasta sauce for flavor.
I also stirfry them with chicken breast.
I make a stew and add some to that.
Soups work too (if you can make them and they aren't as watery as mine...)
I like to use frozen mixed vegetables, that way I get a bit of everything I need from them. Vegetables are great for bulking up meals.0 -
Veggies aren't difficult to eat so other than just suggesting that eat them, I'm not sure what you are looking for. What type of meals do you currently eat?0

frozen, steamable bags and no sodium added canned (haters gonna hate) help me a lot.0

Hi, I'm not mastering the losing weight yet, but I bought and use everyday a nutribullet, and make green drinks and green soups all the time, otherwise, I never get fruits and veggies in me.0

I've been forcing myself to try new veggies so I don't get bored eating the same favorite ones all the time. I try to prep three or four salads in individual containers at the beginning of the week so if I'm hungry I can just grab one quick without thinking.0

I'm a pretty picky eater so getting veggies is a challenge. However I try to get some veggies in every day. I steam frozen corn, frozen green beans, make up home made mashed potatoes, or nibble on baby carrots.0

I make veggie quiches and have 1/4 each day for breakfast. Veggie soups are great, as you can put in all sorts of veggies. I have a recipe for chicken veggie soup that uses a bag of frozen veggies and it's really good.0

I mostly just eat them on the side. Do you want cooking ideas?
If you eat pasta, stir fries, or soup, it's easy to increase the amount of veggies in those. My pasta usually has a ton of veggies. Try to do salads with lots of veggies and not just lettuce.
Since I have a bad habit of buying lunch from time to time and it can be challenging to find lunch options other than salads that have both the protein I want and the veggies I want, I'm trying to at least bring some extra veggies to work. This can be raw stuff like carrots, celery, kohlrabi, radishes or--like today--cooked veggies. I roasted some broccoli and cauliflower when making breakfast and sometimes make extras when making dinner to have at breakfast or lunch the next day.0 -

Make vegetable soup, vegetable in casseroles, mixed in with pasta, bake them into "chips," make a vegetable omlet, grill them, sautee them....check out pinterest and other online blogs for more ideas.0

I put veggies in every meal. Plain with out seasonings. I try to add at least half a cup of any green veggy with each meal.0

I love frozen veggies. I'll add them to any rice or pasta dish. And for lunch, I usually have about three servings stir-fried with fish, chicken or shrimp.0

Portion your dinners like this and you will be eating enough veggies.
As for which ones, the possibilities are endless.- Have some bags of frozen veggies when it is not convenient to go to the store. You may have peas, beans, and corn.
- I like to pick up what is in sale and in season. This week I bought a bag of onions for a dollar. I've incorporated those onions in salads, stews, and sauces all week.
- When I got bored of salads, I would pick up a veggie I'd never tried and google a recipe when I got home.
- As already mentioned, carrots, celery and bell pepper are fine finger foods. You may enjoy them with a dip like ranch or hummus.
- Mason jar salads.

Make a da baba ganoush! But if you don't like that try this:
You can throw every veggie you like into a baking dish, I like to mix whole tomatoes (cut into small cubes), onion, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, Italian green beans, fresh basil and oregano, a little thyme, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper, lemon juice, a little EVOO and bake until veggies are tender 325 for about 40-45 minutes. remove from the oven and grated fresh parmesan cheese on top (to taste). If you want to make it into a stew like dish you can add chicken stock.
You can also grill, the zucchini and eat it by itself. Marinate it in some EVOO and seasoning then toss it on the grill. You'll love it!0 -
Ive never been a fan of veggies but i know how important they are so i throw 4 cups of spinach in a blender with some water and guzzle it once a day. Its an easy way to get em in...and in the positive side effects column...my skin looks amazing and 10 years younger when i do it!0

I love green smoothies. Mine don't have any added protein powder but it's spinach, kale, apple, cucumber, chia and some frozen strawberries. They keep my full because it ends up being about 24 oz., and I have noticed a huge difference in my skin too but that's probably because I'm eatting better as a whole.0

I eat a ton of veg in different types of veg curry. Usually make a batch with fresh veg on the weekend then eat for 5 nights of 7. Eaten with small portion of basmati rice (30 grams uncooked) and possibly some added protein fish or other. Really filling and low cal!0
