Hi, I'm 48 year old mum of 3 and have recently (3 weeks ago) joined a gym (something I never thought I'd ever do) and this week started using MFP to track food and exercise in an effort to lose the 20 pounds I gained since having my gallbladder removed last October. I appear to be entering perimenopause and I want to stay as fit and active as possible for as long as possible. My gym has an online exercise planner/tracker but having done Weight Watchers in the past, I know how important it is to record calories in as well, hence using MFP. I'm enjoying the gym far more than I ever thought I would, but am starting off quite gently with treadmill, rower and exercise bike for 15 mins each twice a week, plus a BodyBalance class once a week, as I'm SO unfit at the moment! Aiming to progress to BodyCombat classes at some point. Have got an activity holiday booked for the August with the family and want to be able to join in. Would be happy to add friends for mutual support.
