so I've been addicted to the treadmill now for 2 years, I lost 3 and a half stone in 8 months just running alongside weight watchers, but my weight can't to a plateau, I joined the gym and got myself a personal trainer, I only have just over a stone to lose but it becoming difficult, but I've introduced myself to resistance training now and love it, so now with my PT I do weights and and when i don't have him i do cardio which consists of HIIT 30 sec sprint 30 sec walk and i have to say my weight is now back moving in the right direction and my stomach has shrunk so much with running, I deffo recommend HIIT to shift that stubborn belly fat, running is excellent for burning calories, and weight training is great for toning and strengthening

When the weather is appropriate, you should move that 30:30 interval session outside. It will be harder.

Then, I’d work in the following progressions:
    - Go all out for 30 seconds and recovery for 90 seconds (a true HIIT would take at least a 3 to 1 recovery) for 5 - 10 rounds
    - Find a hill and do the 30 seconds up hill, recover walking down in 90 seconds for 5 - 10 rounds.
