Losing weight and getting fit in my late 40s.

I am brand new to myfitnesspal.com
I am quite excited to be here as so many people I know use the site and have had wonderful results and support! I am 48 and have lost a total of 92 lbs over 2 years. Kinda hit the plateau and have about 30 more to lose to reach my goal.
I haven't taken any pills, no shots, no crazy diets. I was diagnosed as Type 2 Diabetic about 5 years ago and it finally shocked me into paying attention to myself. I love to cook and kinda made a hobby out of cooking healthy wonderful big flavored foods that kept me excited about my social meal times and on track.
I hit that plateau and like others...kinda wallowed for a little while. Well now I am READY to move on to my GOAL!! And I am about to begin a strength training schedule. Hoping that others will join the conversation here and let's motivate each other. I sure need it!!
