It's just an idiotic excuse to eat junk food. NOPE!

Can we sound any more bitter about never giving in to a treat?

I got to say, it was fun and I enjoyed every bite of it.

Bitter no...just have pie if you want pie and own it. Don't use a made-up holiday as an excuse for why you MUST have pie.

Aren't all holidays made up at some point? I think you need to grab a snickers.

I had a pie day party last night. For dinner, I ate mushroom quiche, Australian spinach, sun-dried tomato, ricotta and mushroom pie, and chicken pot pie. And for dessert there was caramel apple cheesecake pie, cherry pie, rhubarb pie and chocolate tart pie.

    Mmmm, pie.

*And yes, I still was under my calorie goal for the day. Hooray for small portions.

As long as someone is logging the pie, then s/he *is* owning it. Why should you care if it's for an "excuse" or not? Ultimately, any time we decide on something we want rather than on something that we need, it's based on a rationalization. I don't see a problem with having a little fun doing it.
