I lost three lbs and MFP raised my daily calorie intake by 600 calories, that cant be right?

Also if i click complete this entry on my food dairy and come back in a few days and do it again it will say a different number.

I don't understand what is going on?

Is anyone else having this problem?

agreed that it does not sound right. Definitely a problem.
You will want to figure that out as 600 cals is a pretty significant jump

Do you use the app? Because there was a glitch with the iphone app. It's possible your earlier target was too low.

The number when you hit complete is an illustration. "If every day were like today" <-- it won't be though. You will never literally eat exactly to the gram the same things every day for weeks, and move exactly the same to burn exactly the same calories every day for weeks.

The illustration is to show you the effects of consistency. Have a great, on-target sort of day? Keep it up and you'd lose a bunch. Had a party sort of day? Keep it up and you'd gain a bunch. Ate up your deficit? Keep it up and you'd weigh... the same.

Also: When I look at your diary, it shows your target decreasing over time. I don't see an increase of 600.

When do you think the system added 600 to your daily caloric goal? Your diary shows a goal of 1800 today ... 1850 from yesterday back to at least 1 March.

The 600 was a typo. It went up 60 calories. Which still doesn't make sense. I manually canned it to 1800 myself. I don't have an iPhone. The wrong calories were on my phone as well as my lap top.

It went down today from what I can see in your diary. Your diary shows a goal of 1850 yesterday ... 1800 today.
