Is it bad to have two sandwich's per day?

Hey everyone,
For the past 4 months I have really taking a liking to bread. Mostly because it's so common in the Netherlands and Dutch people are always eating sandwich's daily. My eating habits for breakfast have been the same for months and I have no problem with it since I enjoy the foods I eat. Of course I do eat differently on the weekends occasionally, but this is what I eat most of the time. I eat oatmeal in the morning, a turkey sandwich for lunch, another turkey sandwich later, sometimes a snack which can be fruit or junk food, and dinner is always something different. I eat around 1,400-1,600 calories per day but sometimes more on the weekends. I was wondering if it bad that I have 2 turkey sandwich's a day as long as they fit within my calories? This has been something I've been curious about for a while since I've always heard how it's so bad to eat bread when dieting. I should also mention I mostly eat brown breads and not white bread as often.

As long as it fits within your calories, I say its ok. Especially a turkey sandwich. Its not like your day is made up of 1200 calories of beer and then the sandwich, lol! Just try and get some fruits and veggies in there too.0

Thank youI really do love turkey sandwich's. Thankfully I don't care for mayo or any dressings with it which saves on calories. I always eat veggies with dinner.

As long as it is within your calories and you are not bored with it there is nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you are also getting enough variety and having fruits, veggies etc. gives you the vitamins and minerals you need.0

the only foods that are bad are foods that are spoiled and inedible.
eat 4 sandwiches a day, if you can make it fit in your calorie and macro goals.
theres certainly less nutritious foods out there LOL0 -
i personally try to avoid carbs so i wouldn't have any desire to eat bread. I find it's easier to lose weight when you limit carbs.0

Just beware of the sodium in those cold cuts...0

Thanks everyone
I've been losing weight eating bread daily, but I just wanted to make sure nothing is wrong with that. Thanks for the reassurance!

It's perfectly fine - and you are losing weight so no reason to fix what ain't broke.
I would echo the first posters recommendation of trying to get a decent amount of fruits and veggies, (and make sure you get a reasonable amount of fats and protein) in, but other than that, enjoy your sammiches.0 -
Omg Turkey on Rye Bread with cranberry sauce is my all time favourite. Turkey is probably one of the best cold meats option, it's got a great amount of protein.0

What will you do if you get sick of turkey?0

It depends on your macros overall. I often prefer other carb sources and have been keeping my carbs around 35-40%, so that meant fewer sandwiches (especially if I wanted to keep my lunch at the calories I prefer and get as much protein as I wanted), but I've recently raised my calories and carbs so have been including sandwiches at lunch more often.
If they fit within your macro goals and you like them, I see nothing wrong with having 2 sandwiches. For me bread isn't usually so worth it for the calories, so it wouldn't be for me, but I might eat pasta or potatoes/sweet potatoes instead, which are largely similar options.
I do love turkey sandwiches on occasion (turkey is delicious and generally good from a protein and calorie perspective for a dieter). One of my favorite lunch places has something called the Thanksgiving 365, which is whole grain bread with turkey, cranberry chutney, brie, and romaine hearts. I usually have a half sandwich with vegetable soup, and it's super tasty.0 -
Macro- and satiety-wise, I'd not do two sandwiches. I've done multiple wraps/tacos though, but those are higher protein. But if i just really wanted sandwiches... sure?0

No, it's fine.0
