I bought a vivofit with HRM, do you wear the HRM all day or just when exercising?
If I wear it just while exercising (insanity, bootcamp, treadmill zumba, yoga) will the calorie burn for those a two hours be fairly accurate?

I only wear my HR monitor when I'm working out. I'm assuming because it is figuring calorie burn based on my heart rate that it must be fairly accurate. I don't eat back exercise calories but it's cool to see how many I burn.0

Don't wear it for weight lifting, they're not designed for that. In comparison to machines or MFP, relatively they are a lot more accurate.0 -
Heart rate monitors are only even close to accurate for steady state cardiovascular exercise. They won't provide an accurate reading for anything else. A chest-strap HRM is the most accurate type so you should find it that it gives you a good reading on what you burn while exercising.0

Maybe, it depends how fast you're going. For walking, no, for running possibly.
