I control hunger by eating a reasonable amount of calories with macros that work well for my satiety and body composition needs.

If a website uses the words "trick" and "weight loss" in a sentence together, then it's not worth my time.

I thought the article and included experiments were interesting. It's not one of those stupid "one weird trick to lose weight" ads. This is a scientific study that showed that if people don't remember what they last ate - such as people with amnesia- they are more likely to keep eating, even if someone gives them the exact same meal. It simply talks about how our brains and memory are more involved with hunger signals than was previously thought.

There is a massive psychological component to my personal history of over eating. Its very personal and its going to be different for everyone. Being able to control your appetite by eating a reasonable amount of calories with macros that work well to fulfill your needs is what over eaters dream of but just cannot grasp.

We all know that we shouldn't eat if we're not hungry but for me, my body and my brain do not communicate - or more accurately they don't listen to each other. Learning to listen is a life long lesson. I'm not there yet but the messages are getting clearer.
