I like to find recipes from the Clean Eating magazine website, or finding Cooking Light or similar magazines at Walmart. I go through and find some that I think my picky roomie (worse than a toddler) will eat and give them a try. If they are successful, I write the page number and magazine issue down on a page I have on the fridge. I can refer back to it to make the meal again. I have a stack of magazines that I go through about once a month to plan our dinners.

Also, for some foods I made substitutions that made the meals healthier and less calorie. For example, using Velveeta cheese slices instead of Kraft american slices (20 calories saved), using Laughing Cow Light cheese wedges on burgers instead of cheese (one wedge is 35 calories and can cover to burgers), using leaner burger to make cheeseburgers (possibly 60 or more calories saved per burger), making my own mac n cheese with wheat noodles, a touch of milk and two cheese slices instead of box (saving 100 calories), using Thomas english muffins for a sausage biscuit (50 calories saved), using flat-outs for sandwiches and burgers instead of bread or buns (usually 30-50 calories saved, or using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. These are some ideas that may help you.

1- fruit salad. My mom used to make it. I liked it even when she only cuts apple or orange alone.

2- hang the name and weight of each member in the family. You can put incentives

( My boring experience with this suggestion:
I am a middle brother. When I noticed that my young brother is getting really fat. I put a our names and asked each member of the family to put his current weight, his goal and weigh himself every week. Unfortunately, it didn't work with my young brother. But my big brother liked the idea and he lost around 30 pounds since then )
