Broken Toe

So I broke my toe over the weekend and it is pretty bad lots of swelling and bruising. Most of the working out I have been doing is pretty high impact. So that means I will have to change it up a bit. Any suggestions? Would I be ok doing spin (I have never tried it before so not sure how hard it would be with a pretty sore foot).

When I broke both my pinky toes I couldn't do any cardio, but it didn't get in the way of my lifting.0

Spinning would be great but invest in spinning shoes. These shoes have a rigid sole and would be easier on your feet. The shoes do all the pushing and pulling of the pedals. Ask your instructor which clips the bikes have.0

I fractured my big toe last year and it did impact my balance, but I could do seated weights. I have my own spin bike and tried after a week but it was still too painful. It was 3 weeks before I could spin and 6 weeks before high impact (e.g. running)
I would suggest focussing on weights for a couple of weeks to protect your toe from further damage
I have an injury to my foot at the moment and it's killing me not to do my usual high impact stuff. Thought it was better at the weekend - did a circuit, landed too hard and now it hurts more than it did a week ago so I have well and truly learnt my lesson!0
