sooooo i am a beginner and im currently on a caloric defecit because i am trying to loose this belly fat but i am also trying to build lower body muscle i was told i would be able to do so because i am a beginner but my question is..when do i up my calories when i have a flat stomache ? or when i reach my weight loss goal? i dont wanna get skinny but i wanna loose this gut!

You may see Newbie gains...you may not. Difficult at calorie deficit but not impossible.
Up the calories when you like how you look. May be a balance between an actual number on the scale, or how clothes fit, how you look in the mirror etc.
Not uncommon to reach a goal and then say "hey...i can stand to lose a few more".
I am always playing between trying to build muscle and trying to look skinny so I think I know what you are saying.0
