Treadmills?

I need recommendations for a treadmill. I have a condition where I cant exert myself a lot in direct sunlight or heat, im very prone to heatstroke. Admittedly, Florida probably isn't the best place for me to live lol.

Mostly I walk in the evening or VERY early in the morning but my neighborhood is not very safe, plus im wanting to start c25k soon.

Im on a bit of a budget. I don't need a fancy one that has a lot of functions, I just need something that can handle 233lbs on it for like an hour at a time.

I love mine but I probably isn't something I'd recommend for someone on a budget. Here is something to consider - go to a fitness equipment store and talk to the salespeople there about the pros/cons of various treadmills. See what you like and what you don't like or don't want/need. Then look for a used one of the model you like on Craigslist or in the paper, or even garage sales. Seems like people are always dumping their treadmills when they lose interest in working out.

    Good luck!

@DaneanP‌ definitely! ive been looking around on craigslist but there are a surplus of different options and I don't want to fork out money for one that I might regret. I really plan on being serious about this I just don't have a lot to spend at once.

Yeah, that's why you need to test drive some at your local exercise equipment store. You'll be much happier getting something you really like.

FWIW, I love my treadmill. I know some people think it is "cheating" when it comes to running, but my joints sure tell me it is worth it. And as long as I'm getting my calorie burn in, who cares?! ;)

I bought a used one last year at a second hand sports store. I am going to be getting rid of it this week. Having said that make sure what ever one you get has good shock action to it. This one was a lower end one in price and it jars the legs and joints worse than walking the street. I can not do much walking outside either because of a balance problem and thought the treadmill would be great because I could hold on. I am in Florida also and it is to hot in the summer to get out and walk much. Good luck to you.

Not sure of your budget but I use my Sole F80 a great deal and it's holding up very, very well.

Go to your good friend Craig (craigslist). Right now is usually the time when all people that thought, "This year I'm going to get fit! I'm going to buy a tread mill!" in January (resolution people) use their treadmills once or twice and are now trying to sell them. When it says, "Like New Treadmill," that's usually them. But you can actually get a pretty decent deal.

Craigslist is where I have gotten all of my fitness gear. And usually at a great price.

Yes but my real question is there like a particular brand I should be considering for the lower price ranges? Or more importantly, a brand I should avoid at all costs? Im really clueless.
