Setting my calorie goal higher

My actual calorie goal is 1400. BUT - whenever it is set to that, I always freak out of I get too close to it and then for some psychological reason I overeat. Probably because if it happens before dinner I figure whatever, I'm going over with dinner anyway, doesn't matter what I eat.
So a few weeks ago I switched it to 1860 - now I seem to be staying under 1500 on a consistent basis which I am okay with. This weekend was higher but I only have my bad choices to blame for that. But overall, it is working.
Just thought I would share as a little tip!
