Low-Calorie Summer Drinks! I have a massive sweet tooth, so I added splenda to all of these recipes. Feel free to remove it or replace it with your sweetener of choice.

Note: Agave works better when teas are boiled, not cold-brewed.
I prefer using lime gelato tea (or plain lime tea) because it is a very nice flavour with much less of the acidity, and all the flavour of the limes.

Lime-Gelato Limeade
2tbsp Lime Gelato Tea (from Davids Tea)
4tbsp splenda (1 tbsp stevia)
1.5 litres of water.
Brew hot, chill for 2 hours, add ice and serve.

Each serving is 1 calorie.

Strawberry Lemonade:
2tbsp Strawberry fields Tea (from Davids Tea, any strawberry tea will do) )
3tbsp splenda (0.75 tbsp stevia)
1/2 lemon, sliced, (not juiced) drop whole slices into the container
1.5 litres of water.
Brew hot, chill for 2 hours, add ice and serve.

Each serving is less than 5 calories.

Cucumber Lemongrass Lemonade
1tbsp Green Tea
2tbsp Lemongrass Tea
3tbsp splenda (0.75 tbsp stevia)
1.5-2 litres of water.
3/4 cup sliced cucumber
1/2 lemon, sliced, (not juiced) drop whole slices into the container
Brew cold.

Each serving is less than 5 calories.

Watermelon Breeze:
2tbsp Strawberry, Lemon, or Lime tea.
4cups of watermelon guts
2cups of water
2tbsp splenda

Steep tea in 2 cups of hot/boiling water.
blend 4 cups of watermelon guts in a blender with 2 tbsp splenda
add tea to blender after it cools (you can put it in the freezer for 20 minutes)
Mix in blender on high.
Pour into cups with sugar-rimmed lip for fanciness (or remove it to get rid of added sugar)
Top rim of glass with a small slice of watermelon

Each serving is less than 30.

Note: watermelon has its own sugars, you can leave out the splenda if you want.
Each cup will have around 10 grams of sugar that occur naturally in the watermelon.

To add more of a tropical feel, cold-brew the tea in coconut water. I don’t have the nutritional info that using that stuff because I dislike it :P

Gingerade:
Fresh sliced ginger, about 1/4 cup
2tbsp Lime Gelato Tea (David’s Tea)
3tbsp splenda

Boil ginger in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes. Strain
Boil tea in 4 cups of water, steep for 5 minutes. Strain
Add splenda to tea.

Combine all liquids and chill in the fridge. Add ice and serve.

Each serving is less than 10 calories.

** Every serving is 1cup/8 oz/250mL

This is my own subjective experience and you should always carefully evaluate your dietary choices.
