How did you burn calories today?

I killed legs in the gym today. Felt great to get those babies burning. I am thinking of trying a new workout split that will consist of legs and shoulders twice a week. And everything else only once. Thoughts?

How about you? What did you work out? What is your workout regimen?

    Typical schedule
Mon- swim w buoy no legs + bike
    Tue- run + strength optional
Wed- swim + long bike, yoga optional
    Thur- run, strength optional
    Fri- gentle yoga
Sat- vinyasa yoga + strength + long run
    Sun- hiking (easy 2 hours)
    Mon- swim w pull buoy

I take extra days off as needed. I hiked a mountain yesterday, so today I skipped the bike and just did an open water swim with the buoy. The Sat & Sun schedule constantly changes which throws off the schedule for the following week. Ideally I would do swim, bike, run on three different days but my weekend schedule forces me to consolidate.

Strength days are optional. Usually I do planks, push ups, dips, hand stands, (attempt) pull ups and chin ups, a dumbbell routine and swim specific resistance band exercises. If I feel up to it I will combine strength days with running days. Honestly, I focus on doing a minimum of two swims, two runs, two bikes and two strength days. If my body feels fine and my schedule doesn't conflict I do more.

I don't focus on working a particular body part. I use body weight exercises to work out multiple muscle groups at once. I swear by planks and hand stands. Honestly, I've yet to find a more efficient way to build strength in your entire body. :)

    What is your schedule?

    Monday-rest day
Tuesday/Thursday-cardio (walking outside now that the weather is improving)
    Wednesday/Friday/Sunday-strength training/lifting all the things
Saturday-is supposed to be HIIT, but I'm usually too exhausted after work

    Mon-Wed-Fri - Ice Cream Fitness 5X5
    Tues- Ultimate Frisbee
    Thurs- Rest
Sat-Sun - Hiking, swimming, biking, golfing, anything and everything.

    Sometimes weather hinders my routine.
Last night I didn't get to my gym, instead I shoveled snow.
It was probably a bigger workout than ICF5X5 any way
