Calorie allowance gone up

Hi, I'm not totally new. I'm on day 23 and have read the forums a lot but I'm still a little foggy on the mathematics and the terminology.
I haven't lost a whole lot of 'weight' in those 23 days (about 4lbs) but I am feeling great and loving the diet and I think I look better so I'd say I am having great results. Who doesn't want to feel better?
My question is this - I was wandering around my profile last night, just looking at the figures (trying to get my head around macros!) and when I exited it gave me 20 extra calories a day! I walked in with 1440 and came out with 1460. Now, I'm not complaining (that's half a cup of hot chocolate!) but why? I weigh on a Friday morning - although I don't edit my profile, just click check in.
TIA
Karen

are you using the website and usually use an app .. because the app is just glitchy
personally I'd keep quiet in case the MFP fairies realise and they take it away again

got it! shhhh!
I almost always use the app on my phone. I set up my profile on the laptop though and do use is occasionally, when I can get my daughter off my laptop.
I wonder if it was intuitive and was accounting for my average daily exercise or my weekly Friday night over use of calories?
I doesn't make sense to me to loose weight and then eat more calories in order to loose more weight but I do see people saying in the forums that they increase their calories as they loose. I don't understand the math.0
