Yoga Mat recommendations for Bikram Hot Yoga

Hello!
Just recently started Hot Yoga, and I have a cheap thin matt and am looking to buy a good one for long-term use. There are so many out there and they are so expensive! Do I really need to spend that much? And does anyone have a good recommendation for me before I fork over the cash?
I do have a sore knee and am also concerned about slipping... my current one I slide all over the place in down dog. Will probably get the yoga towels too...

Manduka seems to be the best... Ive tried other brands and Manduka lasts better, doesnt smell and cleans well...0

I find any mat specifically geared towards pilates to be better for yoga, they are just thicker0

the one at Lulu lemon is good in the sense that it is slip proof. U can literallu empty ur drink bottle on it and still do downward dog. But it is very hard, and i find it hurts my hips in postures like camel... so I wouldnt recommend it.
hence Im shopping for a new one too.
Has anyone used either the Makura Prolite or the Jade Harmony?? How do they rate for softness vs non-slip vs travelability?

I have the one from lululemon but I also have the yogi toes skidless towel that I put over my mat. Best purchase I've every made. Try buying just the towel, you my not need to buy a new mat.0

With so many different mats out there and everyone having an opinion on them.. i think your first step should just be to get a skidless yoga towel for your mat and see how you like that.
