I started stronglifts in january and apart from squats have been doing okay, however after getting out of the gym(too much queueing messing up my order) and starting a new job i now work long hours four days a week and my days off tend to be like tues, wed and sun off
I am wondering the best way to fit this into the stronglift model, i can only work out on my off days but it would mean not getting that days rest, i am toying with either
workout A tuesday Workout B Sunday and maybe a light session of everything on wednesday
Today i did all five compound exercises then pull ups and dips followed by a short jog
Not sure doing all exercises twice a week could be maintained although i felt okay afterwards
Any ideas?

can't do Tuesday Friday Sunday?
Tuesday Thursday sunday?
You COULD split the lifts- and split the 3rd workout up into the other two days. It's possible- but really if you truly only have 2 days- I'd look at a specific split for 2 days.0 -
You can either do legs on Tues, upper body on Wed, and alternate workouts A/B on Sundays. Or as JoRocka recommends, a 2 days split, which is what I do for my heavy lifting.0

Unfortunately on work days im up at 5am not home till between 7-8, after eating i only get an hour to relax before bed, working out on my days off is perfect but it's just that they are back to back, maybe i will have to just follow the 3 workout program but do 2 on back to back days

Get up earlier to go lift- or switch to a 2 day week program.0 -
Sorry, you misunderstood, what I meant was Workout A on Tues or Wed and Workout B on Sun. You really shouldn't work the same body part back to back. If you really want to do this program, then you will have to make it work for you or find a different program that works with your schedule.

that's what we are saying- you are talking about deviating tremendously from a proven program.

Just trying to get different ideas really before i decide, doing the workouts back to back is obviously not ideal, neither is only doing two workouts a week and getting up at 0330am doing a workout then commuting and working for the next 13 hours certainly isn't any good
Might go for workout A tuesday
light session on all wedneday
Workout B sunday
get 3 days rest after the wednesday so a lighter session with more reps on all exercises might be a nice change

I can't imagine doing all of the main compound lifts, multiple sets (even low reps), all in the same session. Even though they work different muscles, there are enough crossovers that I would think the last 2-3 lifts would not be done at my strongest level and I wouldn't see great progression (or have the ability to regularly add weight). Wow!!!
I work a leg day/push day/pull day, so three sessions a week, and that seems to work well for me. I see progress pretty much every week (but I'm still in the noob-gains phase, albeit at the end of it probably, as my rate of progression is slowing down).0 -

I have this daft thing where i always sway on doing too much rather than too little today
i did
squats
bench
rows
d/lifts
ohp
barbell curls
and then threw in a set of pulls and dips
then jogged for 10 mins
i only started in jan and had a 3 week break due to changing jobs, as the weights go up this probably won't be practical really
