Can someone work out the average run speed in MPH if I need to run 1.3miles in 11minutes.
I am assuming as 6 MPH is 6 miles per hours, so 3 miles in 30 minutes and 1.5 miles in 15 minutes. So are we looking at around 6.7mph or so for 11 minutes
If someone could give me the exact pace. Thanks

Yes.
You asked for pace but sounded like you were looking for speed. I wasn't sure if you were confused by the two. I was making sure you were aware there was a difference. I'm guessing this might be for some sort of physical test.
Running pace is the time you travel per unit of distance (minutes per mile or minutes per kilometer).

Yes I did mean average speed. I thought Pace and speed were the same thing in all honesty. Also Yes your correct. Have a test I would like to pass by the summer.

If you are training on a quarter mile track that would be about 2:07 per lap.
It's a good way to help get a feel for how fast you should be running.0
