I am entering a recipe into my MFP recipe file to see the "damage" before I actually begin making the recipe. (Sometimes, after reviewing the recipe "on paper" I decide to make changes or sometimes ditch a recipe altogether in favor of another.)

Anyway, I like to enter my recipes using weight measurements vs. volumetric measurements, because it makes calculating the serving sizes (and therefore the calorie count per serving) easier: X total grams in weight for the whole recipe divided by Y servings yields Z kcal per serving.

I was trying to predetermine the weight for one of the ingredients in the recipe given in a volumetric measure, and I came across this website:

    I have this site bookmarked. Very handy for converting recipes from cups/spoons etc. to grams
