Starter Food Suggestions

The last 20pds is on the line...

What are some foods that I could start with after eating crappy stuff...burgers, pizza, etc.

Any healthy food suggestions are appreciated (*)

    Food is just food. Eat less of what you are eating.

    There is nothing wrong with burgers, pizza, etc.....in moderation.

    To lose weight & keep it off I need to make permanent (lifestyle) changes. I won't give up pizza forever, BUT I will change to thin crust. If I make pizza - it's turkey pepperoni, if it's take out - 1 meat only, then lots of veggies. I like to serve a salad with pizza, that way I can fill up on something that's less calorie dense. For burgers a good quality ground sirloin is going to reduce the saturated fat content. For me it's about "tweaking" the foods I like.

    "Healthy"....whatever than means to you....can be whole foods. Whole fruits, veggies, whole grains. Lean meats and lean(er) dairy because saturated fats should be moderate for most people. There are healthier fats....look for nuts, olive oil, avocado.

    Portion control - add bulk to your meals with veggies. That increases fiber intake too. Veggies have great micronutrients.
