Fitness Trackers/myfitnesspal

Hello. I have a Misfit Shine that I sync with myfitnesspal. I've only been using myfitnesspal for 3 days and I was wondering if anyone eats the calories they earn through exercise? I don't want to eat all of them, but as much as I work out at the gym, I don't think 1400 calories a day is enough for me. Are the fitness apps accurate? Any advice? Thanks in advance. smile:

Are fitness apps accurate? .....not really. Calorie burn is hard to nail down. A heart rate monitor with a chest strap is going to be the best estimate for steady state cardio.
Fitness trackers are best at tracking activity level, ie: sedentary. If you are using MFP as designed you should plan on eating a portion of your exercise calories back. A portion, because MFP guestimates are pretty generous. The bottom line, if you feel 1400 is not enough...then bump up your calories. You want to eat enough to stay the course.0
