Bad day binge.... What to eat instead?

I must admit that for the first time in awhile that my day has been less then perfect. What do you eat when you're just upset and kinda down for the whole day? I've had a rough week but today is by far the worst. I am tempted to get a grilled chicken sandwich with fries but my mind says no. I've done really well on my eating habits and I don't want to mess it up because of one bad day. I am working out tonight so yes, I can have one but I don't wanna ruin my good eating streak.

Just keep thinking about how bad you're going to feel if you binge or over-eat. You will be stronger for it in the end.0

What's your absolute favorite healthy comfort food? I'd opt for that instead.
Or, you could make your own grilled chicken sandwich and baked fries and probably come in at a fraction of the calories of your favorite fast food place.0 -
Some days, I don't have it in me to stop over-eating. I know by now that if I eat what I'm craving, I'll be over it with minimal damage as apposed to eating "healthier" choices to avoid the "unhealthy" stuff, end up eating the "unhealthy" food anyway, and being way over on calories.
Today, I want to eat about half a bag of cookie dough. I've been away from my MIL for a few hours and the stress/anger has gone on the back burner. I usually get stress over-eating every 3-4 months when it all builds up and I can't take it anymore. Out comes the cookie mix.

If it fits into your day, have it. There's nothing wrong with or bad about having a chicken sandwich and fries0 -
You average about 700 calories a day... I don't see where you binged. At this point, I would say a binge would do you more good than harm.0

I'm totally a volume eater so when I get down I can usually feed my problems with a crapton of roasted veggies or a sweet potato topped with brown sugar & butter or a nice rare steak. The trick is to find something satisfying that won't weigh me down the next day.0

I'm thinking I can skip the bun and eat everything else.0 -
You know, after many, many tries at alternates I've found it best just to eat the crave food. Slowly. Mindfully.
Otherwise I eat five foods by proxy before finally caving.0 -

It's emotional. I never really crave it at all.0 -
Isn't a crave emotional by definition?0

I'm not sure I would call a day "perfect" when it's well under 1000 calories. You are usually under 800 calories. That is pretty dangerous if it goes on for long.0

I met with my doctor for my physical and I'm fine. I'm 4'10" and my weight is great. I only eat until I am full. I am full now but I still want a chicken sandwich... maybe at dinner.0
