I already know what to do to lose weight but this time around, my body is rejecting my methods of eating... INSTEAD, I'm eating more. I'm working my *kitten* off, lots of cardio and weight lifting... but my food is just not allowing me to get the results as before... I dont believe in starving myself while working out, but it seems like what i did the last time isn't working and looking like I'm going to have to eat a lot more less than i already am... PLEASE HELP ME GET THROUGH IT!
SUGGESTIONS!?!?!?

Sounds like your working out like crazy and that's half the battle. I battle with keeping within the calories. A couple tips that have worked for me is I make a smoothie in the morning with Greek yogourt, Frozen fruit, spinach and either tsp honey or 1/2 pk sweetner with some water for consistency. This is very low calorie and then I try to keep calories fairly light during lunch so I can have a snack and also a regular full meal for supper. I see a lot of people talking about squash spaghetti and heard it was good.
I'm going to give it a try. How great would it be to have low cal pasta!
Good Luck0 -
Do you believe in basic science? How about the law that states energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but merely change states? How about the law that states energy and mass are interchangeable states?
If yes, and you are gaining weight, then the only answer is that you are consuming more food (solid energy) than you are expending (kinetic energy).
If you want to lose weight, then you need to eat less than you burn each day.
Either that or get yourself tested for worms or a tumor.0 -
Oh and when all else fails skinny cow drumsticks are 150 calories and awesome!0

How about checking the food diaries of people with a similar calorie allowance? I steal meal ideas all the time0

So eat less?0

It's very hard to "eat less" when you are HUNGRY! lol. And burning more than I eat is almost impossible for me because the only way I know how to burn is cardio and I try to do 45 minutes of that. Should I do more cardio?0

It could actually be that you're not eating enough. Are you specifically ensuring that you get enough protein and carbs?

Cutting and pasting my reply to someone else, sorry:
I find I need to make smart food choices. A pound of strawberries vs 12 peanut m&m's, which one will fill you more?
Eat more of:
lean proteins
berries
steamed, boiled or raw veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, peas, brussels sprouts (roasted, yum!) asparagus...
greek yogurt, cottage cheese (125g for 100 calories is a bargain!)
Eat less of (notice I don't say not to eat, just in moderation):
pasta, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn (you'll know what to avoid based on the calories per grams)
High fat proteins
Candy, sweets, ice cream.
Once you find the right balance, you can eat anything, if you can make it fit your macros. Use a food scale. Weigh everything, log everything. Succeed.0 -

When you eat more than you burn you gain weight!
So eating more is not the solution for her. She is already not losing weight
You have to eat less!
And yes you can be hungry indeed, but when you eat a good balanced diet you dont have to be hungry.
I eat 1200 calories a day. Work out 60 to 90 minutes, 6 days a week. I eat back 25% of the burned calories.
I lost 75 pounds in 5 months and i am almost never hungry.
Yes an appetite before meals but that is not hungry
I eat everything except added salt and added sugar ( medical reasons)
I weigh every solid food and measure every liquid.
You cant out run ( exercise) a bad diet. And i dont say you eat bad. But when you dont lose weight and you dont have a medical issue, then you eat to much!
Hunger can be avoided or will be less with lots of water, and eating protein and fibers.
Lots of salads, veggies and meat do the trick.
And another thing.....when you get hungry some time before a meal..you wont die when you wait till its time to eat.. Really if you want it you can do it.
