I'm a college student lacking time and skill when it comes to cooking and I only have basic ingredients. What kind of healthy recipes could I cook?

I'd say one of the easiest things is chili. Just throw in onions, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, and whatever other vegetables you happen to have on hand. You can buy chicken or beef depending on what kind of chili you like. Diced tomatoes, some beans... if you have a crockpot you can simmer it in there all day, or you can easily find a quick chili recipe to make on the stove. It can last a long time, too! (I'm also a college student)0

Here are some simple recipes. You could substitute bottled ranch dressing for the homemade dressing in the sandwich or omit it in the wraps.

This recipe uses 5 spice and ginger but you could omit with still good results.

Here is a salsa but it could easily be a salad, addition to a salad or topping for fish or chicken.

My advice would be to start with what you like to eat and find ways to make it healthier. Most of my eating plan has involved substituting starches like rice, pasta and bread for something better, mostly vegetables. Rice has been switched for cauliflower, so has mashed potatoes, pasta has been replaced with zucchini, I eat flax seed flatbread instead of white bread etc. There's an option for everything if you Google it!0

Get a meal card. Here at UMass I cannot believe the fantastic choices they offer! From hand-rolled sushi to salads, vegan, noodle soups, and all the way to burgers and pizza.0

My school does not have the healthiest options. I actually lost weight just by getting rid of my meal plan and not even trying to eat healthier or exercise. I wish we had you have at your school though!0 -
Thank you for the recipes everyone! I will start trying some of them0
