Help! Got HRM watch (heart rate monitor), have questions?

I just bought a heart rate monitor watch and it calculates my heart rate (ofcourse), my daily calories burned, and my steps. My question is, should I log all the daily calories it's telling me I'm burning, which as a big girl it's not hard to burn alot, or should I only count the calories I burn during a workout? My MFP profile is set to sedentary due to my office job and my workouts are set to 5 days a week with 10 minutes each even though I do more than that. Does anyone have experience with these HRM's and should I log in the daily cals into my MFP?

I would track your daily calories burned :) if you are logging everything you are eating then why not add what you are burning?

That's such a good point. I do add everything I eat.

I'd only count the workout calories. MFP already assumes you burn calories just being alive - so adding them in AGAIN is just double counting them. Plus a HRM isn't accurate for all day anyway - only when your heart rate is elevated.

I agree with this. Basically I'll burn 2400-2600 calories during a 24 hour period by just sitting on the couch. I use mine for workouts only.

I'm definitely going to count only the calories burned during a workout because as I'm looking at the cals burned so far for the day it's nearing my TDEE and that's pretty accurate for my daily expenditure.
