Devices not in sync

Suddenly my phone and tablet (both android) aren't in sync. Specifically, there is a piece of salmon that shows up in my phone app, but not my tablet. If I try adding it to my tablet, an extra piece shows up on my phone. What gives?
Note: I'm posting here because it won't permit me to posy in the tech support forum.
