Yeah - I was so happy with news from my doctor that my cholesterol is just above 200. This may be alarming to some - but my cholesterol is generally over 300 total! So this was such good news that I was able to make a 30% reduction in my bad cholesterol through diet and exercise. I'm sure losing 40 pounds also helped.

Have a great day!

I stuck to a low fat, high fiber diet. I was able to cut my meds in half but not completely.

awesome!! So what did you do specifially? My husband has high cholesterol and is on a statin drug. The doctor told him to workout more and try dark chocolate, red wine and fish oil. Let me know what you're doing

    Well done!

That's something I'm working on as well.

Losing weight, taking red rice yeast, a natural statin. Increased fiber, almost no red meat. 15 days 5lbs!!

This is why I'm here! My doc told me in January that I need to lower my cholesterol. I need to lose 50 more lbs. So happy to see someone achieve this! BRAVO!!

I lowered mine from above 200 to 120, just with diet(lower calorie) and lots of exercise. I don't necessarily eat lower cholesterol foods--eggs, dairy, and red meat are all still part of my normal diet.
