Finding the perfect balance?

Hi all, I consider myself generally pretty healthy and I exercise on a daily basis but I have never been able to reach my goal (slim, six pack and generally toned) I have NO idea what I am doing wrong!?
I have tried eating lower carb high protein, I definatly got slimmer however I was constantly having mood swings and was not in a good state (became to obsessive) I want an over all healthy outcome (physical and emotional) does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Perhaps a guide. I'm a 19 year old female, 154cm and weigh 48.9kg and I'm a pear shape I just want to tone (mostly legs around thigh area massive troubled tone!!! And flatten my stomach)

To get that 'toned' look you need to focus mostly on hiit, strength training and weight lifting. I'd avoid long sessions of just cardio. Have a look at fitnessblender.com They have a few 5 day challenges for different goals (weight loss/build muscle/strength etc). If you like them then you can buy their 4 and 8 week plans for a really reasonable price! Or if you are a member of the gym you could always ask a trainer there what sort of weight plan they would recommend.
In regards to eating, eat what makes you feel good within your calorie limits and make sure to get enough protein (I believe 1g or protein for every kg you weigh is like a rule of thumb to how much protein your body needs).0 -

I agree totally. If you're aim is to sculpt rather than loose you're aim is going to be on heavy weights and a whole lot of squats. And remember, there's nothing wrong with a booty! Get it high and tight and it doesn't matter how big it is!0 -

This information is also on Fitness Blender somewhere, but it's worth noting that for many of us, especially women, acheiving a six pack can actually put us in a sub-par range of body fat. Why not aim for overall health an strength, rather than specific aesthetic goals?0

Thank you everyone! All appreciated! Believe me I focus on weights it's just like my body doesn't like muscle hahaha! Although I think it's just time, patience and consistency.0
