Fitness tracker- which one?

Hello everyone! I am looking into getting a new fitness tracker now that I can sync it to here. So far I like the Garmin Vivofit and the Fitbit Charge HR. I want to be able to track my steps and such at work because I do a lot of movement. Also to track my exercise. That's why I like the Fitbit for tracking heart rate too but does it do it continuously all day? Also does the need to charge it become a pain or does it really last the five days it claims? Although I liked the Garmin due to it being waterproof and the battery lasting a year but is it useful during exercise or just daily activities?
Thank you in advance!!!

I have a vivofit with HRM- if you want it for exercise, you will have to get it with a heart rate monitor. I love the fact that I don't have to charge it, and it's useful for tracking my sleeping patterns (as I don't sleep well at all!).
I can't really comment on the Fitbit, but I'm sure someone else will!0 -

Oh I didn't know I could get it with the HRM. Does it track it continuously or just when you push a button of some sort? Yeah I'm hesitant on having to charge the other and Id love to track my sleep too lol0 -
It will activate when you're on the heartrate screen on the vivofit - the HRM is a chest strap and isn't designed to be worn constantly, only when exercising. Don't know if there would be any benefit monitoring your HR constantly anyways.0

Does the Garmin Vivofit Sync with MFP? If so, does it work well with MFP? Thanks.0

Oh okay so it's a seperate chest strap. Okay that makes sense then. Yeah the Fitbit has it right on the watch I know it's not as accurate as the chest one though0 -
I had the Fitbit Charge Hr but decided to get the flex instead (charge is bigger). It does sync to MFP and you can chose how often you want to monitor in settings. I charge my flex every 7 days.0

Yeah it syncs with MFP - Garmin have their 'Garmin Connect' site which stores the data from the vivofit, and the site talks to MFP, syncs both ways too. There are a few glitches sometimes, but they're quite quick at fixing things.0 -

The only other thing I would say is, it does cost more to get the vivofit with the HRM, so if you're on a budget, its not always the best option! But I personally think it was worth it0 -
Fitbit flex, but I don't sync it with MFP. It definitely over accounts for calorie adjustments.0

I love my garmin vivofit. I have an iphone and I can't sync with mfp for some reason.

Awesome. Thanks for this info.0 -
I'm a complete novice here. I have recently started kettlebell classes, and want to track my calories burned. Please can someone explain to me how a HRM can do that? Thanks.0
