What are your stats? Looking at that picture of you in the dress with a guy, you don't look very big! 40lbs seems like too much to lose. What are your goals?

4 - 5 lbs. a month is a reasonable goal. More than that is going to be a bit aggressive and more difficult to sustain.

Tips? Eat within your calorie budget as recommended by MFP.

I would focus on eating healthy and get your body moving. Mix strength training and cardio to become toned. I wouldn't focus on the number 40 though. You look great already! Some time in the gym will probably get you to where you wanna be without dropping 40lbs :)

Yes, it's possible. Log accurately, honestly, stick to your calorie target, be consistent, and move a bit. Even if you don't get completely there, you can put a big dent in that 40 lbs.

Do you actually need to lose 40 lbs? Doesn't look like it. The less you have to lose, the slower it will go.

I just remember I was 40 pounds lighter when we got married so I'm shooting for that. But if I'm building muscle I may not need to lose that much. When we got married I wasn't working out.
