Hey Everyone,
I am Peggy and I'm currently 60 days into my journey towards a healthier me. I've lost about 15 pounds so far and have an inital goal of 35 pounds to hit the golden "healthy BMI". I will set different goals as I progress. As I said above I am a 25 year old Chemist that currently resides in Wisconsin. My entire family is overweight and I am trying to break the cycle and no longer use genetics as an excuse for leading an unhealthy lifestyle. I want to be healthy and happy and love myself so that I can have children one day and be a good role model. I struggle with anxiety and depression and some days just getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain.
In addition to making better food choices I am training to run my first half marathon on June 20th, 2015. I started training In January and struggled to run a mile straight. I'm currently up to running 6 miles without walking! I work second shift and the first few weeks of training were pure torture because I was forcing myself to wake up at 7am every day and go to the gym. Now I don't even press the snooze when my alarm goes off. I look forward to my run days and hope I've found a life long hobby.
I'm looking for some more friends to hold me accountable and provide support through this difficult journey. In return I promise to become one of your biggest cheerleaders and provide support however I can.
If you're interested in being my friend let me know. If not, good luck on your journey!!
Peggy
