Toxic smog in the uk- is your running being affected?

Has anyone else struggled running in the smog?

I seem to have been sluggish in both today's and Tuesdays run! I'm running at my usual pace but have struggled with my breathing. (I'm not asthmatic)

Not sure if I'm making excuses or if the smog could be to blame!
