How many calories does a Goalkeeper burn in a match?

Hi,
I'm just woundering because there is nothing clear on the Internet. I'm guessing around 60 - 90 calories in a 90 minuet moderate match. My guess is only based on constant moving to get into postition and occasional bursts of energy for running on 1 vs 1s and saving shots.

I'm also woundering because after a match, especially a 5 aside match where I'm extremely busy, I can feel and be sweating the same as I do after a 30 minuet run!? Hell, even in a Sunday game where I'm not that busy I still feel slightly worn out.

Obviously it will be different depending on how busy the goalkeeper is in the game and the goalkeeper's age and size, but in this case this base this on a moderate average game with the occasional shot for an average sized 20 year old?

I can imagine saving a shot can burn a few calories, depending on the speed, agility and how fast the keeper gets up because it must be the equivalent of a sit-up possibly.

(This ain't for me by the way, I just think it will be useful for any other person who has googled this and was curious?)

Sweat isn't an indicator of a decent calorie burn. Just means your body got too warm

Professional keeper covers about 5.5k over the course of a match, 75% of it walking. So you can enter it as 4km of walking and 1.5km of running.

And then divide by 2 because you're not an elite keeper. :)

How good is your opponent? If you were playing the over 40 team I was on, the number would be quite low (we sucked).
