Trying again to dump the caffeine. So I cut the sodas and tea off--and I lasted just over a day before the major headache kicked in.

Does anyone know some ways to counter this?

    The only thing that cures a caffeine withdrawal headache is time -- and making sure you stay hydrated because if you cut out the coffee/tea/soda without replacing its water content in your daily intake you may have the headache from dehydration.

    My headache lasted about a week in the times i quit caffeine.

    Tapering is a much better idea than drastically going from all to none.
    For one, tapering eliminates the headache problems.
    Maybe decrease it by a fourth (25%) for four days and then by 25% for four more days.
