Knee Pain and Couch Time

I need to give a little backstory to my question:
I've been heavy since I was 12 or 13, gradually gaining weight and maxing out at 220lbs.
I had a baby 10 weeks ago, and actually all the baby weight came off in the delivery room.
Before having the baby I had a fairly active job, on my feet all day baking bread. So while I wasn't in good shape, I was at least moving all day.
After having the baby, I've basically been trapped on the couch holding him. Now my knees hurt 24/7, climbing stairs, stretching, etc. My body feels like I've gained 100lbs overnight.
I know a doctor will just tell me to lose weight.

So I need help with suggestions for low impact exercises I can do holding a baby or in the five minute breaks I get when he'll sleep not on me.
I've devised a little workout routine to do everyday while holding him that's basically squats and lunges, I'm looking for a little more to do.

Are you babywearing? Like with a mei tai, sling, or wrap? I would definitely suggest seeking out local groups to you to help get started if not as this will help you learn to be mobile with babe. If you are breastfeeding, you can breastfeed while carrying in a carrier, etc. Takes a bit of al earning curve but it's possible and totally helped me not be stuck to the couch. I totally know what you mean about that, lol.

How about a swiss/exercise ball? I bounced on that constantly with my first (and very colicky) baby in my arms, and integrated a few different exercises I could do on the ball while holding the baby.
And seconding the baby wearing. Gradually you'll be breastfeeding less and try to get out for walks with baby in the carrier or stroller.
