I am back! I tried this site on April 2012 (last weigh-in) and hadn't been back since. In the past, I was discouraged about trying to loose weight because I though I was too big to even try if I wasn't working out as many hours per day as the contestants on "Biggest Looser". For over the past year, I have been praying to God to give me the inspiration to lose the weight I need to loose, which is roughly 150. Come June 3 of this year, I just got this inspiration out of the blue. I went to the gym 3 times this week and did some walking around my sub-divison. Come to find out, I am finding MFP to be really fun. I know it is because I have answered my prayers. I am looking forward to this journey and I will not give up this time. I am going to be 29 come August. I have my whole life ahead of me, if I begin making these changes. So, I am navigating through this site, and looking forward to finding more tools to better help me reach my goal. Please send support and encouragement my way, and when you say your prayers at night or throughout the day, please sneak one in for me, NeedHelp84

Thanks,
NH84

You can totally do this! You've got the faith, and that's the number one key.

  • Hi,I know how hard and discouraging it can be to loose weight but you sound like you are on the right track now. Do what ever it takes to stay focused on your goal, workout with others pray do whatever it takes.I myself am having a rough time keeping motivated,at work we always have food around and not the good kind! Trying to eat the right foods at the right time has become a chore for me with my work schedule. Once you find an exercise you like stick with it and add a little more to it as you get stronger at it. I did it once when I was much younger and I hope to do it again. As much as I hate tracking what I eat it has helped me understand much better what I'm putting into my body. I suggest you do the same it's a real eye opener!

    Good Luck!!
