How do I log my night out?

I under ate yesterday, by about 200 calories. I plan on only 500 calories today before dinner. I'm on 1200 per day, so between yesterday and today, that will give me an extra 900, which is more than enough.
I don't know how to log it. The restaurant that we are going to has calorie laden sauces on just about everything. And they are unique. And I am going to this restaurant because I enjoy their menu and do not want to order everything served plainly.
I'm pretty confident that I will stay within my calorie limits, but if I do go over, there is no way for me to tell. And if I do go over, then so be it. I've been very diligent about tracking and weighing my food down to the gram for the last 17 days, and will be back on track tomorrow. I'm going into this looking at it like a pre-planned, controlled burn.
How do I log this? Guesstimate?

I'd log it with generic entries for a really rough estimate. have a great night0

Or just quick add a load of calories and make a note like "ate out at Amazing Local Place" - there isn't any law, it is only so that should you look back over your entries thinking "why aren't I losing weight??" (or maintaining, or whatever) and you see a lot of quick add and eating out notes, that might be the problem - remember MFP is just the tool, changing your eating habits is the project, how you use the tools is ultimately up to you.0

My hubby and I recently had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings at a fantastic restaurant. I logged it as 3000 calories and moved on with my life. One of the best meals of my life, and I have no regrets!0

I didn't know I could do this. I'll tinker with it and figure it out. Thanks!0
