No, you have to go into goals and do it yourself every 5-10 pounds.
  • when I hit 14 pounds lost, it asked me if i wanted MFP to automatically update/change my goals. I said no.
  • I have MFP tethered to my Fitbit and I allowed it to give me a deficit if I'm not moving around much. So even if I workout or do my daily 10,000 steps, if I go into couch potato mode (especially after I eat) it will automatically chip away at my remaining calories to eat for the day.

"MyFitnessPal will offer to recalculate your calorie goal with every ten pounds of weight loss you record."

The reason it does that is because you're now burning less than you were when you started, so you need fewer calories. If you don't change your goals, then your deficit will shrink.
